This movie created history by entering 300 cr INR club by the end of its 3rd Sunday at the domestic box office, which made it gross total of 470 Cr INR . Over seas it has collected 156 Cr, thus taking the business to 626 Cr INR.

The film starred Aamir Khan in the title role along with the tall beauty Anushka Sharma. The film opened in 22 international markets during its opening weekend and grossed $28.7 million that is more than the Hollywood blockbuster “The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies and Gone with the Bullets”. The film set a weekend record with $3.75 million resting at number 10 at the box office in north America.

On one hand, where Aamir Khan has made a movie called “DHOBI GHAT” with a tight budget of Rs. 10 crore; a kind of performance driven cinema which won rave reviews from the critics and termed as poetry on canvas, he came up with a complete opposite movie called “PK”.
