1. Honours Received By Amitabh Bachchan
Amitabh Bachchan was first honoured with a civilian award in the year 1984. He received a Padma Shri from the Government of India. While this was surely a great honour, it was just the beginning.
The third highest civilian award Padma Bhushan was conferred upon Amitabh Bachchan in 2001. The President of India announced this award on the Republic Day of 2001.
Amitabh Bachchan has also been conferred with Knighthood. He has received the Knight of the Legion of Honour for his exceptional career in the world of cinema and beyond. This is the greatest civilian award by the Government of France.
