If ever in life, you feel unlucky, think about this man.
Paypal made Chris Reynolds richest person in the world (for a few seconds) after ‘crediting’ him with $92,233,720,368,547,800 accidentally. Checking his PayPal statement via email Saturday, Reynolds, a public relations executive, was floored by the amount of money that had suddenly and inexplicably appeared in his account. He had been credited $92,233,720,368,547,800.Thats $92 Quadrillion. Chris, 56, a father-of-three from Delaware County, New York State, said: “I’m just feeling like a million bucks.
Chris Reynolds became one thousand times wealthier than the total combined GDP of the whole planet !
“At first I thought that I owed quadrillions. “I’m a very responsible guy. If I really had that sort of money, I would pay the NATIONAL DEBT down first !!”
Mr Reynolds’ wealth easily eclipsed that of the current world’s richest man Mexican telecom mogul Carlos Slim – who is worth a mere $67billion. Paypal withdrew the money after realising their error but offered to make a donation to a charity of Mr Reynolds’ choice. When Reynolds logged into his PayPal account, his balance was back to where it was supposed to be: $0.
“This was obviously an error and [we at PayPal] appreciate that Mr. Reynolds understands this was the case,” the company said in a statement, according to CNN.
